CREDIT FOR EXPERIENTIAL LEARNING
You can earn Life Experience credits by:
- Transferring credit earned at other colleges or universities
- Transferring credit from workplace courses
- Transferring credits earned for professional licenses and certificates
- Demonstrating life experience through a prior learning assessment
The College may grant academic credit for prior experiential learning as follows:
- Up to 60 units out of the 180 total units awarded to a student in an undergraduate program may be awarded for experiential learning.
To qualify for the prior experiential learning credit, the following conditions must be met:
- The prior learning is equivalent to a college or university level of learning.
- The learning experience demonstrates a balance between theory and practice.
- The credit awarded for the prior learning experience directly relates to the student’s degree program and is applied towards satisfaction of certain degree requirements.
- Learning experience for which credit is sought must be documented.
